When you believe in Jesus Christ, you are born again. The bible tells us that you are a new creature. Now you are born righteous forever. You are qualified for every blessing of a righteous person. It is not about what you have done but it is what our Lord Jesus Christ has done for us at the cross. His finished works, when he proclaimed that at the cross, ‘it is finished!
Allow me to explain, most people have been taping into the Gospel of Christ but not preaching it, to its fullness. Do not worry, you will get it. All of this is there in the scriptures. There is no other Gospel but only one Gospel that clearly states that, all those who believe in Jesus Christ are freely justified by grace.
Romans 3:24 King James Version (KJV)
“24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:”
On my previous blog, titled “The only way to be righteous is by faith, there is no other way” I explained how God made believers righteous, no one can make you right even yourself in your best behavior ever, you cannot make yourself right. Only God can and He did it justly so, by sending His Only Son that whosoever believes in Him shall be saved.
Christ is our righteousness, our holiness, ‘as He is, so are we in this world’ 1 John 4:17. He redeemed us from our sins, so that we no longer live in sin. If it happens that you sin, we have an Advocate who is sitting on the right hand of our Father in heaven.
1 John 2:1 King James Version (KJV)
2 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
We need to believe this truth, if we don’t, we are not believers or we are not of faith. The bible says, ‘the just shall live by faith’. Let me show you the verse I used previously Romans 5 and there are many other verses I can show; the Gospel is rich.
Romans 5:19 King James Version (KJV)
“19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.”
You have to follow me on this one, the first part of this verse says, ‘for as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners.’ This part of the verse suggest that we are not sinners because we sin but we are sinners because of one man (Adam) disobedience. This means that even if you do million righteous things, you remain a sinner because it was not your doing to be a sinner. You were born a sinner because of Adam’s disobedience. It sounds unfair, right? Wait and hear the second part of the verse.
The second part of the verse says, ‘so by the obedience of one man shall many be made righteous.’ Now by the same token as in the first verse, because of the obedience of One man, you are born righteous and you are born again.
Before Christ there is/was nothing you could do to make yourself righteous even the law could not make you holy. What makes you think that after you have received Christ you can make your self righteous? I will let you answer that one.
Wherever you are reading this, I am submitting to you the true Gospel of Christ. In Christ we are born again, we are born righteous. We are born of God. Nothing can change our position with God. Jesus Christ is our position.
We live right because this is our new identity in Christ, the righteousness that is from God. Before Christ we were sinners so we did what was expected and sinned. Sinners sin and what does the righteous do? Of course the righteous do right. Glory to God! We are no longer sinners in Christ, we have a new identity.
In Christ you cannot see yourself as a sinner, you may not be perfect but God our Father has freely justified you and made you holy. The just shall live by faith.
